Now Open- Sushi Mon at Glenwood Place
Sushi Mon is a sushi and Japanese small plate restaurant locally owned by Chris Lee, a native of Korea who moved to the area after cultivating his skills in San Francisco and Las Vegas for ten years. The restaurant will be relocating to Glenwood Place from its original location in Raleigh near NC State University’s campus on Hillsborough Street. Since its opening in 2019, Sushi Mon has been praised for its creative small plates and vast selection of sushi rolls. Sushi Mon will open temporarily in just a few weeks as a pop-up in 3700 Glenwood and then will open permanently as a full-service restaurant in 3800 Glenwood later this year.
Glenwood Place is a 40+ acre mixed-use development off Glenwood Avenue. The project represents a joint venture between Raleigh’s own Grubb Ventures and Ascentris, a real estate private equity firm based in Denver with ties to the Triangle. The site currently includes 450,000 square feet of office space, over 30,000 square feet of ground floor retail space, and the 296-unit Sojourn Glenwood Place apartment community, with an additional 278 units under construction known as The Residences at Glenwood Place.
